Hi Jim,
I don?t live there but have family and fly there often. We plan the next 4 of 5 weekends there. I can?t tell you much about the airport community, non-towered but one or two commercial flights a day. Cashmere has a good 1800? strip too if you want to get out further. Waiting list for hangars though.
Desert Aire M94 for residential airstrip is 1:10 by car away.
Expect all four seasons with good amount of sunshine plus wild fire smoke.
