C-791, Canopy Skirt Brace, DWG41
Question
Did anyone drill the lightening holes per drawing (1-1/4" D)?
No matter how I measure, that diameter cuts into the two flanges.
I've already trashed one set. Different reason. Basically made a mess.
1-1/4" seems too big. Maybe 1-1/8"?

Larry, measure the distance between the two bends in your brace, should give you a good idea of the diameter of his holes on the brace he shows.

I did. That's why the question. No way to drill 1-1/4" holes per Vans plans. I drilled them
1-1/8". Looks good. Thanks.

Keep in mind, the goal here is to make that part flexible enough to fit the canopy radius. I seem to recall my holes cut right to the edge of the two flange bends.
