Electric Pitch Trim

Does anyone have a copy of the electric pitch trim installation instructions from vans that they could post or send me? Also, what is included in the kit? It costs $325 from Vans and the servo, push rod and clevis are less than $200 from Ray Allen.

Here is an idea from Randy Lervold. I would consider this on the 4 vs the servo mounted in the elevator. Some research and noodling required.

I replaced the wire push-pull on the RV-3 I renovated with an electric trim motor as Randy came up with. Worked great and was pretty simple to do.

I used a T2-10A and a bent (heated with welding torch) 1/8" steel rod to keep it light, simple and low drag. I drilled out lower skin rivets and took out the existing stiffener and made my own 0.032 angle/stiffeners. The servo is sandwiched between the cover and rivnuts in angles running from front spar to rear spar/rib. Doing it with without turnbuckles (fixed length rod) makes for extra work and/or making the horn after making the rod. I have a about 1.25" between piano hinge point to rod hold in the horn and get about 20/30 up/down movement; less than the specified max 25/35.
