It comes down to which makes you more comfortable.

Thanks Scott.
I too am making accommodations for future tail wheel change for me or a someday owner. I left the two support bars as is rather than trimmed per nose wheel instructions.
I will re-read the destructions, and decide on a plan for the tie down.

Resurrecting an old thread.
Anyone run into any issues by riveting the rear tie-down in while you are riveting the F-712 bulkheads together?
Larry, now that you have been through the fuselage. Could you have left it riveted in the first place? I suspect access for bucking the skin rivets is mitigated by using the small tungsten bars.

Curious in southwest
I have the side skins and longerins on. I am about to rivet on the aft deck and would like to know if there is a reason to wait until AFTER the aft deck is on to rivet the tie down bar. Please help. I got big hands and just cant see waiting until the VS goes on.

Tie down bracket
There's holes that get drilled through for the VS. I riveted it during the VS mounting process.
