It looks like you only inserted the photo name not the path to the smugmug photo.

On your SmugMug page (logged in) with the photo you want to share, click on the Share icon (rectangle with an arrow coming out).

A pop up box will appear. Choose the Size of the image. Medium works well for these forums.

A long URL to the photo in that size will show up at the bottom of the pop up box.

Click on the URL, and it will highlight. Use Ctrl-C to copy (or right click your mouse and select Copy) for Windows, on Mac it is Command-C/Command-V.

In the VAF thread click on the little "image" icon (yellow rectangle with some mountains). A pop up box will appear. Use Ctrl-V to paste (or right click your mouse and select Paste).

Use the "Preview Post" option on your Thread Post to check if it is going to insert the image correctly.

If it looks good, Submit the post, and you are done.

Use https://postimages.org/.

Literally drag a picture over and then it gives you the links for various postings.
