Question Slick Start with Push Button Start

Can a starter button, a keyed mag switch (off, left, right, both) and a Slick Start be safely used together? If so, how should it be wired? What are the possible problems? I was hoping an EMag for 6 cylinder and this would not be an issue!

Default Start

Not sure why you would want a keyed mag switch and a push button start. If you want a push button, use 2 toggles for the mags and a push start. I have a slick start on my left mag and run the right mag p lead through a relay that grounds the mag when the starter solenoid is energized. You could put a simple on/off key switch in for security if so inclined to disable the push button.

I also gave up waiting for the Pmag - and that was 3 years ago......

Take the power for the Slick Start from the "I" terminal on the starter relay. Take the output to the retard breaker on the left mag. Whether you use switches or the key, disable the right mag on start (leave right switch off or make sure the appropriate jumper is connected on the key)

I normally get a start second blade - at least when it's cold......
