IFR checkride!
Might be old hat for some, but it's new stuff to me. I passed my IFR checkride this morning in my glass-panel RV9A with flying colors. Life is good!

Nice! I hope to follow your example shortly. I have done all my IFR training in my RV7. Holding altitude and headings are a continual challenge.

Well done! Now the hard part is keeping it current.
What I would suggest is go IFR in one direction to keep current and hone your skills but then go VFR for the return leg just to enjoy the simplicity of flying.
It might be helpful for others planning to go this route if you could give an overview of your panel and it's capabilities and then a brief recap of the check ride.

Woohoo
Congrats Greg! Huge accomplishment.
I'm equipping my 9 for IFR to utilize the rating as well. Nothing hard, busting through layer(s) to get from A to B in the right conditions.

Congratulations, Greg!
You are an encouragement.
I have just begun studying for the IR myself, so it certainly isn't old hat to me.
I have yet to talk to an IR pilot that regretted getting the rating.
Well done.
