Gi 307 autopilot problem
I had my 307 installed and it was working until I added gi 260 aoa .,gmu11 and gsu25. This is the order I have them wired.first is the gsu25 with a termination adapter, then gi260,g5,sa28servo,sa28 servo and gmu11 with termination end. I have the 307 wired to first servo via rs232. Now when I arm the auto pilot, my g5 flashes with a red "x" on AP(autopilot light on left bottom of g5). Any help?

Could you make a sketch of your setup please? It is a bit hard to follow your description.
As far as I understood everything worked until you added the GI 260 Indicator?
Best,
Malte

Autopilot issue
Not sure how to post photos of diagraphm. I started at gsu25, that is connected via can bus to gi260, then to g5, then to sa28servo, then to second sa28 servo and the last thing on the can bus is the gmu11 with a end termination adapter

Usually you have termination resistors on both ends of a CAN bus.
Also you should check if you have swapped CAN high and low by accident.
By the way I still don't fully understand your setup

IIRC, the 305 and 307 are wired the same. One serial line to the PFD, one serial line to the roll servo. That might be the problem.
The newer controller has a CANbus interface, so it's wired differently. Didn't find the part number on the Garmin web site.
I bought my 305 just a few months before the 307 was announced. I would so like to trade up...

let's clarify this: You have a setup with a G5 only but no G3X?
I'm not very familiar with this setup. Do you still need a GSU 25 for this?
Have you connected the GMC 307 to the G5 AND the roll servo via RS-232?

Should be the GMC 507?

As far as I know the GI 260 should be connected via RS-232 to the GSU 25 and NOT via CAN Bus!

Hello Gizmos,
No problem adding a GMU 11 magnetometer to your G5 system, but the GSU 25 and GI 260 shouldn't have been connected to that system unless it is a part of a G3X/G3X Touch system, which it sounds like it is not.
You may also add the GI 260 and GSU 25 as a separate standalone AOA system, but that requires different and separate wiring. In that type of installation, there is no CAN bus and the GI 260 connects to the GSU 25 using RS-232.
Please feel free to contact us directly by phone or email shown below if you have additional questions.
Thanks,
Steve
