Default Red Bull Air Races Oct 6-7 Indianapolis

Can anyone suggest an airport in Indy to park my RV-6A for the Red Bull Air races this fall? Also any suggestions on the best seating in the Speedway for such an event?

Default Indy Info

The most convenient would be Eagle Creek (KEYE), but it gets loaded-up. Make sure you call ahead to see if tie-downs are available. I like to fly into Hendricks County (2R2). Quiet airport in the suburbs, but not too far from the Speedway and Enterpise will pick you up.

There are NO bad seats to watch the race, however I will suggest that higher seats are better.

I am based at Greenwood (KHFY). It?s not as busy as Eagle Creek and not as country as Hendricks County. Lots of ramp space and rental cars are available with lots of conveniences close by. Those would be your 3 closest airports to the speedway and any would be fine.

I?ve only been to the air race once, but I agree there wasn?t a bad seat.
