Default Air Vents Tip

I notice from a lot of build pics folks, like me, are waiting until later to install the air vents.

When you finally get to this point you'll have a hard time finding a good way to hold the vents in place and apply pressure while the adhesive cures.

Here is our solution, drill a tiny hole followed up with a dab of fiberglass "next time you mix some up".

Note: Two wood blocks, one on each side. 3 inch screws, be sure to use washers.

This made the install a breeze:

Thanks for the post. Do you have a web site for following the project?

I clecoed mine in place with 3 clecoes to hold while the epoxy was curing - two clecoes at the back in the wide area, one up near the nose of the NACA to hold it flat. A week later, when the epoxy was fully cured, I slightly counter sunk the holes drilled in the skin for the clecoes with a deburring tool and filled them with epoxy (WFLALT)....... works fine, lasts a long time......

I used ProSeal, and held the vents in place from the inside with 3M blue tape.
