Default recent post recommending inexpensive caulk

I can't locate a recent thread that included recommendations for an inexpensive [silicone?] caulk available from home depot or lowes. Sorry I can't be more specific but would like to ID this product.

Thank you
Robert

I didn't see the thread, but was it DAP ALEX Caulk?

To seal your antenna, you might try using DAP Alex Ultra II Plus from the aviation aisle at Lowes or HD. Recommended by Bob Koehler of EAA Hints for Homebuilders fame.

Let's hope it was the DAP caulk for an antenna, as the FireBarrier caulks sold at HD and Lowes are not the same as 3M FireBarrier 2000.

I beleive you are referring to a recent magazine article, I think it was kitplanes or possibly sport aviation. If I recal it was a Dap siliconized caulking, water cleanup and dried clear.
