Default Avionics Mounting and Planning

Thinking about my avionics install coming up here in a few weeks .. while my panel and harness is done and I basically know where to mount things I'm curious as to where you guys are getting the material to create a mounting platform behind the panel and any notes or suggestions anyone may have.

Check out Carl and Rafael's web site: RV14A.com. Excellent documentation.

Also - head over to Locust Grove, visit Vic Syracuse and the factory -14A built by Mitch Lock. I did and took pictures (and we went flying!!).

Yes, I do have the RV-14A South of Atlanta available for prospective builder demos or pictures just to help answer some building questions. Although I live in Locust Grove, for those of you who are making travel plans, both the RV-14A and RV-12 are based at KMHP, which is in Hampton, Georgia, about 9 miles from my home in Locust Grove. It's a really nice, paved airport and I will meet you there.
