Default Help! My ignition leads don't fit my new UREM37BY Plugs!

Hi all

A friend of mine sold me a brand new set of UREM37BY plugs to replace my URHM40E plugs. I got them all checked out and installed but when I went to install my ignition leads, they don't fit. The insulatorS of the old plugs sit deeper in the shell than the 37 BYs.

How do I make this work? What parts do I need?

So much for this being an easy swap.

Default As far as I know

there are no parts to adapt from the style harness you have to the style plug you have installed. Most likely you will have to replace the plugs you bought with the appropriate plugs. As you discovered, the letters preceding the numbers really do matter.

It gets worse. The nut has the wrong size threads, too, for that plug. REM and RHM cannot be interchanged, unless you re-do the harness.

I'd be interested in your new 37BY plugs if you can't use them.

Kelly PM sent.

I guess the great deal that I got from my friend on the plugs wasn't such a good deal after all!

I already put my old plugs back in and stay tuned for my classified ad for these plugs.
