Unhappy HS Nose Rib Rivet Removal

Hello Everyone,

I've been working on the empennage kit for about a year now. I was setting the rivets for the inboard nose ribs and the set got away from me. It basically cut the factory head in half. The other 11 rivets turned out acceptable.

It's not fully set and the shop head is in good shape. It needs to come out, but I'm afraid of causing damage. So, I'm looking for tips on drilling out a rivet with this bad of a head?

Thanks in advance, I've really enjoyed VAF over the last 2 years (this is my first post )

You can drill in from the shop head side if that is easier. Use a set punch and a sharp drill. I would begin with a #40. Remember that you are looking to snap off the head.
