No hole yolk/thin nose yolk, which size?
I see a need for a no hole yolk/thin nose yolk for some tight areas coming up. Can somebody advise me on if a particular size will cover all the situations that I may encounter on a RV-14 build. Cleveland advertises a 1", 2.5", and a 4". I initially thought go big or go home and get the 4", but then thought the 4" may not fit into some of the areas. Thanks in advance for your input.

I have the same three yokes as Turner when I built my RV-10. I don't recall any major issues with the 4" no hole.

I have 4 yolks
I started with the three listed above. I added a 1.5 inch for close quarters. Wish I'd had it from the start. You don't use it a lot, but it can work in places the others can't get into.
The 4 inch no hole doesn't work for dimpleing. If you only get one do not get the 4 inch.

I have the standard 3" and the Longeron yolk . I have found a need for a thin nose yolk and Cleveland has 3 sizes, 1", 2.5" & 4". Was hoping that 1 of those would be able to cover all situations.

Yokes I have known
I have the 4" no-hole and it has handled every situation which would accommodate a squeezer. It does flex a ton so the adjustment takes some time to get dialed in. It does a so-so job on -4 rivets for that reason.
I have also used (with a gun) the thin end of a crowbar, pry-bar, big flat screwdriver, a ground-down bucking bar, and a random chunk of steel to get in tight quarters. Point is, if you don't have the exact size yoke you can usually improvise something or borrow one.

I have the same 3 as Turner to build my 14A. The standard 3" and the longeron yokes are the most used ones and I agree the no hole 4" is sometimes tricky as it does flex some especially on #4 rivets.

I have the 3", longeron, and 4" no-hole yokes and they have worked well for almost every location except the aft deck. Needed to borrow a short yoke for some of those. Good to have builder friends with tools to borrow.
