Default Prop Wrench Size

Can someone tell me the prop wrench size I need for the Van's standard IO-540 / 2 blade Hartzell CS prop setup for the RV10? is it 3/4 or 5/8 that I need? I'm at work so can't measure and may have ordered the wrong one.

Hopefully you didn't order the very expensive prop wrench recommended by Hartzell!

Default Noooooo

No. I saw it at Skygeek for $640 or something like that. I found it on Aircraft Spruce for a much more reasonable price. Still too much in my opinion, but so is everything in this hobby.

I bought the one from Anti-Splat Aero -- works great. You can cancel your order and borrow mine if you want. The only catch is I need it back the week of the 28th as my engine will be in. With any luck it will be available for loan again after Dec 3rd.

Exclamation

A stubby 3/4" open end wrench. Craftsman works well. Then a 6 sided 3/4" shaft about 1" long through the box end. Can weld in place if desired. Standard torque wrench with 3/4" socket. Has been used 4 times and works great so far.

Cheap and can't see the specialized ones working any better.
