I fly a Falcon that hs $700 leading edge lights! And they are NOT LED
Yes, they are certified, but with AeroLED's coming up with new designs all the time I like to say I am behind this company.
Great new design I think.
I love flying around with my full AeroLED package and looking down at my amp meter to see a total load at cruise of 7amps! And that is everything ON...lights, Radios, EFIS....
Good Job Dean!

Another option I came across for LED navigation lights is PSA Enterprises. The white tail light is LTD 75TPL. There is another one that has a flashing ring around the edge, a kind of beacon.

The wingtip navigation lights are LED 75–12vG and a 75–12vR. A clear lens is a T1284 PC.
Read Aircraft Spruce's blurb in their catalog/online about "direct" replacement; several people feel it's subject to a lot of interpretation.

The most important thing is that the bulb replacement continues to meet the FARs and TSO requirements. Our bulb was carefully designed to do so. I have serious doubts that any of the paddle board designs will fully comply, especially with rearward angles (from 90 to 110 degrees aft), and with the cutoff angles. We placed our LEDs in the same location as the filament to ensure that we maintain the cutoff angles achieved with the stock bulb in the housing. When you sprinkled LEDs all over a board like that, you will have light that exceeds the cutoff angles.

Pirelli on the Aeroled bulbs
I hate to bring this back to the original topic but
Any pirep on the new Aeroled bulbs? I need to cut some current out of my IP under my VCC and mu-metal only got me halfway. This may be my ticket!

PSA
I have the PSA nav lights and they seem bright enough for $35 apiece. But iirc it was a tight fit to install them. Probably not 1000 lumens though. For the white tail light I bought a LED bulb on Amazon and aside from the fact that it too took a little persuading to fit it is working just fine. And it is brighter than the stock bulb; at 2 for $10.00 it's nice to have a backup because if I ever remove it the base of the bulb will probably be toast.

Finally
I am glad to see they went after this product development. Have tried the PSA and other "cheap" board types in the past. They don't hold up to vibration, they are not very bright and maybe not even meeting specs. Some even produce enough RF energy to blot a frequency out. Really not worth the investment.
Knowing their design criteria, these will be robust, bright and live a long life.
Not expensive when you consider all factors. IMHO as the young crowd says.
