Default DRDT-2 Size

Hi everyone,
This is my first ever post to this site, so this has turned into a question and a short bio.
After selling my Victa Airtourer 18 months ago I've decided to build my next aircraft.
The basic plan is RV-7, slider, IO360, CSU, G3X and about 5 years.

Question,
I'm going to have the frame for the DRDT-2 made locally,
does the DRDT-2 reach the larder skins easily or would it be worth while having the C frame made say 100mm / 4" deeper?

Cheers,
Aaron

Default it reaches fine

My DRDT-2 with homebuilt frame per plans has reached every dimple on my RV7-A build so far, and I only have the glareshield skin left to go.

Default Store Bought

I assume the plans for the frame yield a unit the same size as the "store bought" frame. My DRDT-2 reached all of the skins on my RV-7 with no problems at all.
