Default IO360A1A in RV-7

Hi all,

I'll be looking at an rv7 qb project forsale soon for possible purchase and also know of a 933tt IO360A1A with prop for sale. Just wondering if anyone here can give any advice on these donk in the 7. Rear mount CSU and single mags with shower of sparks. We work and a few in mooneys but worried about weight in rv7.

Thanks

Default Working for me.

I found a low time A1A from a Mooney and now have 105 hours on the plane. Also have a Hartzel blended airfoil prop. No problem with weight and balance. Empty weight without paint is 1114. I put pmags, new prop governor, and light weight starter on. Plane operates as expected. So far I am loving the deal I found.

The RV-7 is known to be light on the nose for CG. Many with the standard parallel valve O360 have to put a Saber weighted crush plate out front to compensate.

The heavier angle valve should take care of this for you.
