Default DFW rental or club?

Hi, I'm looking for a facility in the DFW area to rent or join a club that has a RV-12? Anyone have any info? Thanks, Ron

I think you first need to clarify the rules. I'm not sure an E-LSA or an E-AB RV12 qualifies for a club or rental situation. I would think an S-LSA would. But I definitely am no expert on the rules. Perhaps one of the experts could chime in, as I'd like to go this route too.

My understanding is that rental is not allowed, except for transition training with an LOD (letter of deviation? might have the wrong initials).

Co-ownership is allowed. That could be an equity club, but be careful about the club route to assure that you're not busting the ownership rules. You can't have a "club" where one or two people own the plane and 10 "members" fly it.

Disclaimer: This is my understanding of the rules and is subject to clarification.

S-LSA is fair game for both routine rental and club status. E- airplanes can be put into an equal ownership equity club (East Coast Example).
