Default oil temp indicator showing high when I turn on landing lights on

I have Rv9a - oil temp indicator goes high when I turn on landing lights! Anyone else have that problem?

Sounds like a poor ground connection someplace, maybe between the engine and instrument panel. The engine mount should not be part of the ground circuit. It is OK to ground the engine mount, but it should not be used to carry starter current.
