Lightbulb What to do in downtown LA?

I have a 35 hour layover in downtown LA starting tomorrow morning. Anything RV or aviation related to do? Or, what's your favorite non-aviation thing to do in LA?
I'm just trying to not go insane for such a long sit.

Thanks in advance!

Default Museum of Flying

It isn't downtown LA, but if you have 35 hours, should be plenty of time to visit it. Museum of Flying in Santa Monica. http://www.museumofflying.org. They have (or had-check first) the BD-5J that was in a James Bond movie. Further away is another good airport-based museum: Lyon Air Museum at John Wayne Airport in Orange County. http://www.lyonairmuseum.org

The Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City. See portraits of the dogs sent aloft in the Soviet space program.

No tickets needed for entrance, only for parking, which can get cut off when full.

Uber or a cab from nearby would be a good choice.

Access by Public Transportation

We encourage visitors to consider public transportation when visiting the Getty Center--especially during the summer, winter break, and spring break periods. Free Park and Ride lots are available throughout Los Angeles County.

The Getty Center is directly served by Metro Rapid Line 734 (Monday - Friday) and Metro Local 234 (Weekends, Holidays, late and early weekday hours). Bus stops are located at the Getty Center Drive and Sepulveda Boulevard intersection.

Get complete route information from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO): 323-GO-METRO (323-466-3876), or use the METRO Trip Planner.

Access by Taxi

There is a taxi stop on level P1 of the parking structure.

Direct phone lines to city-licensed cab companies are located on level P1 and at the Lower Tram Station (T1).
