Default Build rates

If ya'll are interested, just for fun I started tracking the Van's published completion numbers to get an idea what the completion rates were not just the totals. For 2015 they are:

RV-3 7/yr
RV-4 17/yr
RV-6/6A 30/yr
RV-7/7A 89/yr
RV-8/8A 60/yr
RV-9/9A 58/yr
RV-10 41/yr
RV-12 80/yr

So what are the odds that 2016 will see 10,000 RV completed :-)

Cheers

interesting. does everyone tell Van's when they've completed their aircraft? is it mandatory? or do they get a copy of the registration and/or airworthiness certificate when complete?

i'd be interested in seeing how many kits they actually ship compared to how many are completed.

No, and No

The hobbs meter counts are only completions that people inform Van's about.
There are a lot of people that never bother to, so there is likely quite a few more per year than is reported there.

It is possible, but based on the completion rate over the past couple of years, my guess is that it will happen mid to late summer 2017
