Default VS-1204

Am I supposed to break the edge of the VS-1204 prior to screwing it to the vertical stabilizer? I did not, but when I screwed it to the VS, there are slight gaps were it overlaps the VS skin between the screw locations.

Thanks.

The plans don't call for a break, and although I haven't seen yours, I'd say mine is much the same. It's a very close fit, not perfect, but plenty good enough.

Gary, Mine did the same thing. I didn't think it was going to fit, but once I had all of the screws tightened completely, at the very end, it snapped into place and fit just fine. I didn't break the edges. Next time I take the VS-1204 off and put it back on, I'm going to start tightening screws at the top and work my way down to see if it goes on easier.

Default Thank you

Thanks for the replies, I'll live with it for now. I've yet to fully torque the screws so it may get better when I do.
