Default Elevator horn issue

Looking at the elevator horn for the conditional I found that it is hitting the horizontal attach point when the elevator is in the full up (aft stick) position. It has chipped away the paint on the horn. This is only happening during engine start, taxi and flight control check but it needs to be addressed. I am not the builder and am wondering if anyone else has had this issue, if so what has been done to prevent it?

I'd retouch the paint, and apply a piece of heavy duty clear packing tape on top. If you're concerned about it, you can replace the tape at each inspection. Also, make sure there are no sharp edges on the control stop...file or Dremel as needed.

Default Elevator Stop

Look in the inspection hole and you should see some sort of control stop when the elevator is fully up. I have a thick aluminum plate riveted in just inside the tail end Bulkhead wall. When full up the back of the steel control hits the plate.
