Default RV-7 Slider Canopy

I am working on my canopy install now. I have the canopy frame fitted to the fuselage as close as I can get it. I am now at the part where I am trying to determine the position of the frame in the canopy so I can drill the handle hole and make the cut. Where is it better to have gaps, on the front bow or on the center? If I position the frame all the way at the back of the canopy where the mold flange was, the center fits quite well but the space between the canopy and front bow is large enough I can get my fingers under it. If I move the frame forward to bring the front bow closer to the canopy, there is a very large gap between the canopy and center bow.

Any suggestions?

I elected to match to the front bow. The gap to the center bow pulled in nicely as I drilled and clecoed.

That said, I have not riveted it all together yet so you might want to hear from some others who have completed their's.
