Default Insurance problems on kits/scratch built?

Hi all-

Thanks for the responses on the kit engine question. Next question is what happens to insurance premiums if you use a kit or build your own from a core? Do they increase and if so, how much?

Thanks!

I don't think it makes any bit of difference if it's a kit, scratch built, or brand spakin' factory new...but why even tell 'em?

Engine type: Lycoming.

Jim?
