Default Tailwheel steering rod

I am sure it is in the archives, but I probably don't know what the standard term is for searching. I want to remove the springs that steer the tailwheel and replace them with a rod on one side as I have seen others do. What is the correct term and where is the preferred source for a -6.

Check out the steering link we offer at www.jdair.com. Light, streamlined and developed with balanced springs for a positive feel.
