Excellent Trip Report!
Thanks, Alfio and Shirley, for the inspiring photos and the details of your latest adventure in your RV-9A. An aerial tour of the American mid-west is definitely on my bucket list.

It was a WUNderful surprise to encounter you and Shirley at my home airport. meeting and talking with you both was the highlight of my week.
GREAT trip report! So glad you had such good Wx and were treated well by so many FBOs. It's reassuring to see.

To me this looks like a Avro Vulcan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Vulcan
You have one flying in Europe.
