Default Headphone jacks

How do you get to the head phone jacks on a finished airplane

99% of the time, you have to remove the front seat, crawl in on your back just to be able to see the wire tabs of the jacks.

If the jacks are in the back seat or mounted in side panels, then you need to remove whatever interior trim gets you to where you need to go.

Remove the wings and then remove the aluminium cover to the wing electrical connector. I think there has been a plan change at some point but if you have blue electrical plugs for the wings there are 4 screws in the seat floor that hold it in place. Remove them and slide the connector out. You then have quite good access to the headset jacks.

It sounds like a lot of work but shouldn't be more than 20 minutes.

Default Headphones Access

Recently had to get to headphone wiring on my 12. Pulled wing pins, pulled the wing in question out a foot or so with cushioned stand supporting wing tip. Removed screws on cover plate at wing root. Easy to do and good access.
