Uh oh! Fuselage crossmembers! Scrap?

I'm working of the forward floor of the fuse. Instructions call for machine countersink on the crossmembers (F-802K-1 and F-802L-1), but instead I dimpled them. I don't see the dimples interfering with anything but I'm assuming Van's doesn't want you dimpling thicker material.

I'll call Van's in the morning but I can't be the first person to make this mistake...can I?

Here are the crossmembers I dimpled instead of countersunk. According to Van's, the instructions call for countersinking becasue the material is too think to be easily dimpled by hand. With a pneumatic, it was a piece of cake! :D

Build on, says Gus!

if the member is still straight it should not be an issue. You might want to check rivet size and go up a half.

He said member... Hehe

Yup, they probably say cs to avoid distortion. If it isn't distorted, press on for sure!

Keep it up Tony!
