Auto Pilot Flight Director

Hi,

Now completed my build (RV14A) and now configuring my (full suite of) Garmin avionics with Van's trim servos. Still on the ground - not flown yet.

I appear to have all the correct trim movements including when using the Auto Pilot as per the configuration instructions ie heading left/right and pitch up/down. However, the G3X on screen Flight Director image and instruction appear to be the opposite.

When the Flight Director says 'Trim Down' I have to move the GMC507 wheel to the 'Up' direction to centralise the on screen image.

I would be most grateful of assistance to solve this concern I have.

Without regard to your actual question (?), I’d urge you to triple check elevator trim direction, as those on vaf who are DARs report frequently finding it backwards. Elevator tab up for nose down, and vice versa.
