my second engine has had these champion iridium plugs in since new or 2,000 tach hrs. running car gas in cruise tank and 50/50 gas and 100LL in take off and landing tank this is what they looked like after removing. the gap never changes, brush off the threads, no lead balls, lube the threads, rotate and install. fly safe. ;)

Hi Turbo,
What engine do you have in your RV?
Cheers,
FA.

got this message from ant, it is a thunderbolt from lycoming, O-360 A1A flowed heads, roller lifters, runs smooth lean of peak with a carburetor. 8 gph @ 150 kts.

There are issues with the newer Champion fine wire plugs. I am using Tempest now.

Plugs

Yes there expensive, a couple of tanks of fuel
and they start paying for them self?s. We
like them because of all the pros, easier starting,
fuel burn, long lasting etc.

For sale if interested

If anyone wants a set of these (8), I have them ready to go. They’ve got around 400 hours on them, gaps are still like new, electrode perfect, resistance like new. They do indeed pay for themselves after a few tanks of fuel.

I replaced them with auto plugs when I went to P-mags a few months ago.

Looking for $40 USD each. I have a brand new one too as a spare.

These are the Tempest UREM38S.
