OK, I'll admit this is a little bit overkill, but I like to be as precise as I can. I was fitting the fuel tank drain to my tank skin this afternoon, and wanted to hole in the drain valve to match as closely as possible to the hole in the skin. I looked around my shop and found a wire nut that would go part way through the skin hole and into the fuel valve hole
Then used the wire nut to center the two holes (tank skin and drain valve)
The result was perfectly aligned holes
