Beautiful fly-by at the annual Spruce Creek bonfire

Two of the highlights of our community is the December Toy Parade and the January Bonfire. Of course the Gaggle Flights must go up and do a massive fly-by. Last evening we had 42 airplanes participating. 41 were in the first group and a P-51 closed the show. During the fly-by two uninformed but brave airplanes came in to land and was cleared by the air boss. So, at one point we had 43 airplanes in the pattern!

Of the 42 airplanes, there were 17 RVs, 3 Rockets, 3 SX-300s, 2 Aerostars and the rest are all one off. I was with the Lakes/Goofy Flight of 18. We had 4 RVs in our Flight. Following are some screen dumps from a video my wife and I made. The video link is on the next post.

Excellent Video, Ted!

I especially like your gaggle of 18 aircraft, Ted. Nice to see the biplanes in there. Life at Spruce Creek is clearly a hoot. Great motivation for the rest of us to get flying!

Gaggle

Thanks Ed, you should come up some Friday night since you know most of the players. Gene (#4 in the 5 ship).

It was quite a spectacle to witness, I got offered a seat in one of the SX300s.

Someone needs to fix their smoke system...

Ted,
