Today my friend flyingmonique had me meet him at the Arlington WA airport and we headed to the mountains! What a great day to fly as evidenced of the amount of traffic in the pattern. Once we were 5 minutes from the airport, we didnt see anyone! What a beautiful place to fly.

The mountains are as rugged as they get. Not many places to put it down if needed, but beautiful. Here are a few shots.

flyingmonique's plane.

I have been taking lessons in a 172 and Archer. Both nice planes, but nothing like the fun of flying the 9A. I cant wait to get finished with mine!!

The spelling .....

......goes way back to speed skiing down in Portillo,Chile. As for flying over that terrain do it all the time. Willing to bet I can still out rip 99.9% of you on the slopes too.

Rocky was kind enough to add the letter "I" to your name making it Monique. Of course, girls can ski too.

I guess it is me that needs spelling lessons - or at least I need to put my glasses on!

I need to get up to Big Sandy one of these days. What a great place to live.

GREAT photos, Rocky! Thanks for the inspiration! I'd like to meet you if you get down a bit further south. You've GOT to see Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, and of course, Mt. Hood! :)

Going to James Aircraft and Vans later this month

Bruce,
I am going to stop by James Aircraft to pick up a new cowl and then Vans for other supplies later this month. When I get a firm date, I will let you know. I would love to see your project!

If anyone needs something picked up and delivered to the Boise area, let me know. I have a trailer and room for most stuff - but not a full kit.

I can hardly tell one mountain from another, but my mountain climbing son (in Bellingham) can! This is Mount Shuksan at the top, apparently a very cool one to climb!

Had climbed it along with a number of other peaks in the range. Truly great mountains to climb and I miss those days.
