Upgrade RV3 Usher fuel caps to RV14 style

Hi Guys

I have been looking at changing the supplied Usher style fuel caps with the more modern RV14 SPRL type.

The required hole in the fuel tank skin increases to 2.54" compared to the 2.28 for the Usher RV3 type.

Also weight goes down from 6 oz to 3.5 oz for each cap.

Any potential issues before I have to cut the hole in the skin and it's then too big to go back?

There are other (possibly better) options!
Have you considered what used to be called the "Deluxe" fuel caps?
Aluminium rather than plastic, look for ACS part Part# 05-22934.
Order the -RV type which has a flange specifically shaped for an RV wing.

I did consider them but they are heavier and cost more. May be a later upgrade if plastic proved to be problematic.
I will be buying the RV version with the radius to match the top curve of het tank.
