Kit Hours Planning Question - Specifically Finishing, Avionics, Engine

Hi Everyone,

I am on the clock to finish my fuselage kit by May (ordered Finishing). I am trying to plan ahead for spending and time so I am hoping for a little advice. If the Finishing arrives in May, I need to gauge how long it will take me to complete it (in estimated number of hours) so I can order the Avionics (six month estimated lead time).

Then I have the same question for the Avionics Kit to order the engine (also a six month estimated lead time).

I live in Florida and want to minimize the amount of time the Avionics/Engine sit. Not to mention I want to finish her and fly :).

Estimates appreciated.

Thanks much,
Rob

The two things that take the longest in the finishing kit are the canopy and cowling. The canopy took me two weeks to complete and paint working about 4-5 hours a day. The cowling can't be done until the engine is installed.

The rest of the finish kit is a piece of cake.
