My Uncle wanted it out of his shop, we worked out a deal. I'm still not sure why I want to store it in the hangar, much less give good money for it. Not to mention it's HEAVY!

It's been used hard for a long time, must've been a "rental." Resetting the key and the gears should be easy.

It's been a tripod...

Has a prosthetic arm along with the only markings/data plate...

Adjustment arm broke, the other one bent during transport to my Uncle's shop.

The socket for the top roller (the "slip roller") is very worn, I wonder about the possibility of machining it out and using a bushing.

I suppose I like thinking of all the curves it's rolled before and maybe rolling a few pieces of thin aluminum a year is a better retirement gig than going unused in the dark and dirty recesses.

I haven't been able to find anything yet about these slip rollers, if anyone knows anything please tell!

Congrats! I fully understand; I can't resist heavy old tools, either. Want to see my turn of the (last) century pipe threader? How about my coal miner grandfather's carbide headlamp? I'm trying to decide whether to use it while refueling the RV at night....

Nice Slip-roll!

It looks well cared for, except for failing over from the Conestoga wagon haul. From experience, don't sand blast it! Old cast iron was sealed and plastered with coatings to make them look better.

Now for the English wheel.

Slip Roller

Can I borrow your roller to make a whatyoucallitthingofajig for my roundtooit
on my RV ? Bolt it to the floor to keep our hangar from blowing away! McDoogle
