RV's Dominate IAC Apple Turnover Primary Class

The 2016 Apple Turnover is the second IAC contest held in Ephrata WA each year.
I flew my second ever contest (in Primary again) in my RV-8 placing second.
Christopher Lester flew up from the Portland area in an RV-6 and passed me in the final round, winning 1st place for the contest, Congrats Chris!
The 3rd competitor flew a Super Decathlon, making a nice 3 way contest.
Both RV's flew without inverted systems, and Chris' RV-6 is equipped with a carburetor, so anyone sitting on the fence, claiming your RV-3,4,6,7,8 isn't equipped for IAC, well, you are denying yourself one of the most intense and rewarding experiences! You also make great new friends that are as passionate about aviation as you!
PS; I never exceeded 4 Gs on the recording G meter, so the Primary routine is not hard on the airframe.

Way to go!

Congratulations to you both! This sudden appearance of new RV aerobatic competitors is great! What's really great is seeing that bone stock RVs without inverted systems are scoring higher than Pitts pilots in some contests. Wow!
