Aft canopy frame fit query

Assembling the components for Page 38-14 step 4, I can't get the C-01442C fixture to cleco into the outboard holes without some slight mis-alignment of the pre-punched holes in the handle and non-flushness of the centre flange.

As it's Sunday, I doubt I'll get a quick response from Van's support, so can someone please check their C-01422C fixture to confirm the distance between hole centres?
Mine measures approx 42 7/8".

Pondering this. I think the fixture is correct, but I need to remove one of the bronze clecos to get the top flange to line up, and then the hole where the cleco was is slightly misaligned as can be seen below.

My inclination is to prioritise the flange alignment and to drill that hole oversize to take a fatter rivet after match drilling and clecoing all the other holes.
