I live in southern Cal. and have flown north plenty. Every time I use the Owens Valley I get the **** beat out of me. The west side is much better in my opinion. I'm sure there are nice smooth times...

Bought a tubing bender and it broke the first time I used it.Problem was it was past the one year warranty. I sent an e-mail of my disappointment and the King at Aircraft Spruce refunded my money...

is your problem. I have heard more than one account of this problem with that combination. In each case the problem was solved with a heavier prop.

My Baron has over 6000 hrs. with no problems with the switch breakers.
Now suddenly we have to change all 12 of them at about $100 a piece.
Can't even get them due to demand. I'll have some for sale...

Dual mag

You cannot put a single mag replacement or a P-mag in the dual mag spot as it doesn't mount the same as a single mag unit.
I have the same mag. I disabled one half of the dual mag after having it...

Chop off the top and weld it to the side of the stand so the attachment is facing up. Mount your lycoming facing down. Works well!

Leather or vinyl

I think leather is a better choice. Seems to me that there is some issue with vinyl in the sun and gasses it releases and it's affect on the plexi.
Might check with your windshield supplier or Vans.

When I purchased my policy through Prudential Life I told them I was a pilot of an experimental airplane and they were ok with it.
I had them include that in writing in the policy.

The newer (after2005) use only one wire to the batt. and it's shielding is the ground return.
