Makes sense

Based on that, I would run the vent from there as long as the float doesn't interfere with it. I would joggle it in the first bay if possible and set up a straight run to the end. IIR, a retainer...

1 piece here

Larry,

My slider fairing is one piece. I used 6" fiberglass tape to construct the entire thing. Due to the curvature of the aft section I had to cut and use 2 pieces of glass, offsetting the split...

Snap Soc

I start at about 55-60 psi and go up as the rivets get longer. Try a higher pressure, should help a bit. I don't think either of those rivets need to replaced unless its for cosmetic...

The plans show a 1/8th inch hinge is used to secure the top cowl half to the firewall/top forward skin. The aluminum .125 hinge pin is replaced with a .090 steel hinge. The intention is to make...

Depends on placement

Hi Jim,

I assume you have the FT-60 model of the Red Cube. This is the unit I have on a Superior I0-360. It has a 1/4 inch NPT.

You will need an AN-816 (NPT to flared) fitting. If you want to...

I called Vans, they recommended the LP4-4 or 4-3 depending on material thickness. I believe the ACS catalog lists the lenght needed for each materail thickness.

Check the thread...

Brad,

I had a similar result. While bending the longerons everything was spot on. As I recall, the displacement I had after rolling the canoe was about what you are seeing. The pressure I had to...

Not much to it

Matt,

Its been a few years but there wasn't anything special about the drilling both skins and the wedge.

One recommendation is to use some material on the backside of the wedge as a guide when...

I had the same problem with the first couple of rivets as well. After some testing found that very minor changes in the angle of the rivet puller prevented this from happening. Can?t exactly...

Not good!

Hi Larry,

That should be right, same as any flared AN fitting. It's hard to see in the video but the female end on the fuel valve doesn't appear to be flared. Looks flat, though it may be an...

I believe you are referring to the 3 holes that attach it to the top of the F-766. Funny, I couldn't find where it referenced a size either (DWG 33) but I went out and looked at mine, pretty sure I...
