I installed one and it was about 4 hours total...

I installed one and it was about 4 hours total from opening the box to fully configured. The hardest part was routing the antenna lead through the fuselage.

Worked first time out too.

It is more than likely an error with the analog....

It is more than likely an error with the analog. Remember back to private pilot training and installation errors were talked about, this is most likely the issue.
