Heated seats. Simple. They work wonderful in my truck, even when I take off in the winter before the engine warms, the seat heaters are worth every penny....

Popping when throttle is pulled

straight pipes is the issue.

To reduce popping, clean and re-gap plugs or replace with new plugs.

This makes a big difference on my IO-360 RV7

cleaning engine

My experience has been that with certified aircraft, at annual, the A&P uses engine cleaner on the entire engine every year to remove the oil film.

I only do this as needed. My -7 does not need it...

The odyssey PC680 in my RV7 went weak last winter and was replaced at 7 years. Be sure to check all connections before blaming the battery. A bad ground can cause symptoms also.

a preheat of the engine is best.
If that is not an option then try waiting 2 minutes to crank after priming to let fuel atomize better, (Cold weather trick.) Just one option.
