Great panel!

Those new G3X touch panels are nice! I like the attention to layout and placement. I am also curious about the dual screen backup instruments device in the lower left. Who makes that product?

Lightbulb Nibbler Tracks

Cover the area with 1-2 layers of painter's tape.
That should eliminate nibbler tracks and allow a nice high contrast surface for your sharpie layout lines.

The wax marks you refer to just look like tool marks from the wrench rubbing on the part when the bolts were tightened.
