Yep, you are correct. Useful bits and pieces left over from the build. It is a wedge after all.
Filled up the holes and taped a 6" piece onto the rudder with double sided tape.

Alternative to Mouse Milk, exhaust joints?

Is Permatex copper based anti-seize of any use? Temperature rated to 1800dF.

Firewall sealant

Used Proseal tank sealant. Did not know any better. Hopefully I shall be back on the ground in one piece before the Proseal fails and allows smoke and flames into the cockpit.

Was caught in a downpour some days ago.
Throttled back, pulled the prop coarse and turned for home to prevent too much damage to prop or risk a leak into the tip-up canopy.

He was just clueless on how the mag switch grounds. Cerebral problem.:)
