There are several common parts...

...as you mentioned, the ailerons are identical. I have a few -8 parts on my wings. I talked to Van's about installing -8 aileron gap seals. They are way easier to install than the stock -4 seals....

Are you clecoing every other hole? If you are using too FEW clecos, the stringer won't rest tight against skin. If there is a gap, the rivet will try to fill that gap, thus pushing the stringer...

Well, after way too long, I have BOTH tanks finished and they are leak free! At my previous job, I worked with a lot of B1/2 sealant, so I got B4 for my tanks. I wanted plenty of working time here....
