I will not use solder sleeves for wire splicing, shield terminations are the only thing I use them for.
Properly done crimp splices are quicker, easier and extremely reliable.

IMO that's a pretty fair price for a brand-new Mode S transponder with built in ADS-B receiver.

I went back and forth on that one when deciding which to install in my own aircraft, went with the 245R.
