Wire management

Getting ready to wire up a new panel . I came up with a simple way to keep the wires organized as Iím fabricating the harnesses. Combs epoxied to some 2x wood .

Air filter

I made a alternative air door thatís manually operated . Also used some micro /epoxy to shim the assembly against the Servo to line up with the cowl. Made a silicone Hump Hose to connect the filter...

Almost every MT prop ends up back to them for some sort of repairsÖÖ big box and big bucks to ship a 3 blade prop .
Iíd go for a 2 blade Whirlwind if you are looking at saving weight.

I modified a Audi Aluminum Jack for my 8 . The stock gear legs have a hole to install a 7/16 pin ( cut off bolt ) to use as a jacking point. The complete assembly with axle wrench weighs 3-1/2 lbs...

With regards to raising the rear seat ..... I made a booster for mine that holds some basic travel stuff. Simple fiberglass reinforced foam box with an .040 aluminum lid .

5200 has a much lower viscosity than Sika Flex , it would not stay where you put it ... and takes days to cure . Itís a great product but not for installing canopies

Your drawings show a Tailwheel plane . Loading the cargo from the front would be a lot easier. Do the bikes have folding peddles ? That would definitely make them skinnier.

I personally would not chase a simple problem that has such an easy fix . Put a trim tab on it and be done . Iíve yet to see an airplane without one . My solution has served me well and is Permanent...

7 rudder

I would opt for a 8 rudder . The overlap seam is in the front eliminating the double flush rivets on the trailing edge . A few 7's have had tail issues not any 8's that I know of .

I just replaced two GSA 28 servos in my RV8 . It was an intermittent hardware fault , showed up twice . Emailed the G3 experts , discussed it over a few emails , they sent me two replacement servos....

Good Year says when the tread grooves are no longer visible . The first set I took off had minimal tread left . I cut the tire on the band saw so I could see and measure how much rubber was left ....
